Things I realized today (or actually monday but I'm slow):
- I aspire to be an old woman with a cane so that when I come to a door I can toss up my cane, catch it in the air, and rap on the door with it.
- I really don't know what the insects in my bathroom are, but they are quick, striped, and pointy, so I don't particularly want to. --> I should talk to my super
- I like maggie. Also maymar.
- I should contemplate hornet-potato bug sex.
- Second cup steeped tea is really horrible. Why did I get it?
Things I realized (actually) today: - I am getting sick.,
C: arms above her head There are noises in the hall. M: likewise Is this how we fight them? C: yes. ... M: Are we pretending to be trees or dinosaurs? C: I was pretending to be a tree. M: That's too bad, I was being a dinosaur, I guess we can't be friends anymore. C: I feel like we're better friends if we aren't the same species. M: But what if I'm a dinosaur that EATS trees?,
Actually going a little crazy, maybe. Renewed books. That means I've lost hope of being done tomorrow, when they are due. I bought fries. McDonalds guy likes me, and supersized them (pretty sure that was an accident). I cannot eat supersized fries, it is too much fry. I shared them with roommate. They were very salty. We didn't finish them. Am drinking soda and listening to tegan and sara/brian borcherdt/boysnightout/other things.
So I know I did the disappearing thing again, but... I blame school. Oh god am I tired. And have so much work to do.
Okay. It's 7:10. That's shower-and-boot-your-ass-to-school time, today. I was going to go to the gym, but I just don't have time. Much more important tasks await.,
Essay (due yesterday) - incomplete commentaire de texte - complete thing to look up for 2:30 - incomplete stuff due next week - incomplete not even considered application stuff - started
Yessss. I totally started applications. I have done the ones for edinburgh and roehampton, and now I just need to get all the papers associated with having done that together. And write a page about why I want to teach. And... er.. do the ontatio ones. And my papers. You know the only reason I did this was procrastinating, right? right.
Okay. Seriously going to start my 10 page essay now. I think I might know what I'm doing. Something about how narration in the book is through relations of ownership/possession and is projected onto the pets because of the sort of stream of consciousness narration used. Because why would you have to develop a sense of character if you're describing events around you? You KNOW you. So... yeah. Aaaaah all-nighter I'm SO READY FOR YOU.,
I have an essay due tomorrow. I'm not doin' it. Or I'm not right now, I guess. I think I'll do it tomorrow night. Tomorrow, i have 2 tests. Or one. I'm not sure. My french class is like that. I KNOW I have a commentaire de texte (the one I missed last week) in which i will be sure to mention free indirect discourse and how it means there is no communication between the characters because they don't talk, we just get their thoughts, but I'm not sure whether I have a reading comprehension test on some Zola text. Which I am going to start reading now.
The reason I haven't done my essay is because I don't have a thesis. And I really need good grades this year. For all intents and purposes I have an extension on the paper, and because I can't pull an all-nighter tonight (too much class tomorrow for that) I figure I'll hand it in at thursday's class. I'm assuming that will be alright. I really need to get in working gear though. Next week is going to be a HORRIBLE mess if I've not got things done, especially as i have plans both thursday and saturday. Thursday is controller.controller., saturday sciformal with one of the Waldron Tower crew. To which I am wearing a plaid ballgown, elbow length black gloves, and I do not know what else. Well some sort of flower, I guess. Because my "date" is going to the florist tomorrow. Then I'mma get him a flower, so we can be pretty. Maybe i'll even get my hair done.
And then next monday I have a translation quiz, tuesday two seminars and a sociology research assignment that I haven't started, wednesday a sailing social (ROBOTS AND HOEBOTS) and friday my 8 page french research paper that I'm changing the subject of.
Oh... man. That seems so much worse written out. I really need to get this paper done for this week SOON.
