so tired.
Saturday, June 25, 2005
I don't know why I'm still sitting in front of the tv, but I'm so tired. SO TIRED.

I just went to a get together at Cherry's. A pool party-esque thing. It was sort of wonderful, but I can only take so much TFSness. That's not to say I don't love everyone associated with that fine institution, but seriously... I just don't like photos, okay?

That's all I have to say for now. I'm heading back to kingston tomorrow to be there at night for a his/hers thing (and yes, anyone reading this will have no idea what I'm talking about).

I'll be back sunday, at some point. Work next week, then shaw. Love you all.

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored.

You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic.

Your ideal relationship is comforting. You crave a relationship where you always feel warmth and love.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as something you can get or discard anytime. You're feeling self centered.

laundry and tennis balls.
Monday, June 20, 2005
It's taken me a while to get around to it, but I've just done my first load of laundry at the apartment. A load of laundry that really needed to be done, because I was out of socks. In normal circumstances, this wouldn't be a problem... I mean... I could always go buy a couple of pairs of socks. But it seems that I'm going back to toronto tomorrow (I have a dentist appointment wednesday morning that I'm really not looking forward to, for reasons of drilling and shaky dentist hands) so I need socks. And yes, this did require having this much said about it. Socks are a big deal, okay? Socks and underwear.
Now, the entertaining bit about my laundry trip was that which has made me love the old people of this building even more than I did before. I met two new old ladies today, and they were wonderful. I met the first in the garbage room on my way back down to get my loads out, and we talked about how recycling always seems to be neverending. The second I met in the laundry room once said garbage had been dropped off and we talked about the weather and how it's cooler and therefore bearable to do laundry. Apparently neither of us has done laundry in weeks. Hurrah!

So now I'm back upstairs, ALL my laundry is put away, and I am preparing myself to go play tennis. That is, my tennis raquet is out on the bed and I am leaning my chin on a container of tennis balls as I write this.

This is why you love me. The laziness that prevents me from even holding up my own head properly.

Call me in toronto while I'm home (part of this week and all of next), because it's off to Niagara on the Lake for school in july. About which I'm rather excited.

Humid.
Monday, June 13, 2005
Today it's disgustingly humid. I am very very uncomfortable. Thankfully, our apartment seems to be beating most people out in terms of how bearable the humidity is.
Yesterday roomie and I went couch/futon shopping. We will have two new couch/futons on wednesday. I also bought myself a new pillow, which smells fairly strongly of plastic.
That's basically the only productive things I've accomplished all weekend. Well, save getting my bike from Scott's and putting it in the garage of our building, which only got done because I was over there for dinner.

Tomorrow I think I will buy fabric for curtains. I keep putting it off because I've left my curtain rod at home, but that's a really bad excuse.
Tomorrow I am also sailing, at 3:30. And maybe playing some soccer in the park at 8. Yesss.

sorry it's been a while...

Sorry it's been a while...
First I had to get all sorts of prerequisite stuff done for sailing, then I came to kingston and was internetless, but here I am now.
It's just past midnight, I'm in my new room (which is still pretty bare) and on the internet. I went sailing last weekend, so I'm covered in bruises, and I have my sailing course again on the 17th. Went paddling yesterday. Took a friend to toronto because we had nothing better to do. We were going to go sailing but the wind seemed pretty dead so instead we paddled out to centre, went swimming at centre beach, and went home. And then went swimming again in the pool. Which is SO FREAKING WARM. And lovely.

I lost my debit card. It's been cancelled, but argh.

Okay. Updates tomorrow. I need to buy a pillow and try and sort out my internet further. Right now the router doesn't work. Good thing roommate-meghan has no internet connection.
