The past week has sort of been a blur, and I don't know whether that's bad or good.
I was around here for a couple days, went down to canoe school on tuesday and went for a paddle, did some crazy bushwhacking, because Goh's a nutbar. It was actually really funny, though, because a bunch of the staff had come out so we went to the swamp o' horrors and heard the WORST rendition of the swamp boy story ever. After which I feel like I may have promised to type it up. Anyway, Goh then informed everyone we were gonna go bushwhacking, and I sighed, and whinged a little, and then got out into the swamp muck. Which is oh so disgusting. Because one person at least needs to get out so a boat can be pulled across into the other, sheltered, bit of the swamp that was between us and actual solid earth. I tried standing on a fallen over tree, but no dice. As we got out of the boats, the rest of the staff sort of backed out and paddled around to where we were heading. Wussies. They won't get away with that during precamp.
So it was all Jr and Sr staff (one new Jr staff, who has awesome bonus points in my books).
The next morning I drove up to Iz's and we departed for kingston. Which was fun. Dinner at the copper penny (I'd never been. I've never been most places, downtown), and then watching moulin rouge and having a drink, which we'd been craving for basically the entire time in england. The only sad bit was that it made us tired so we didn't go out. Then, Iz got a cab home, and that was pretty much the end of the night.
In the morning went for coffee with maggie, then it was clean-up-mouldy-dishes time, which was lovely (really smelly, rather). That took way too long.
Then yesterday... dinner with Claire, and farenheit 9/11 with TFS people and more. Which was entertaining.
And that brings me to today.
I plan to choose courses. And buy shoes.
Yeah, I know. You really wanted to know all that. Well, regardless of the fact that most probably did... muahahahah.
And I will share with you the swamp boy story, shortly.

In London until the 17th, then Paris until we clamber on a bus the night of the 19th, sleep our way back to London, and get on a plane home.
If anyone needs to reach me, I'll check my e-mail, hopefully.
Essays done AND my qlink site updated with photos from this trip?
Considering it's been about a year since I last did anything to it (and it was mostly file storage), and just a bit since qlink deleted it on me, I'm impressed with myself.
Just don't look at the source code. I was being lazy and reused the code from my blog, and there's some stuff in the header that's completely unnecessary.
Okay... there's alot in the header that's unnecessary.
Meh.,
My eyes are a little blurry with lack of sleep, but I don't mind.
My last paper got handed in today, at 7 minutes after noon (although it's dated noon exactly, which is nice).
All I have left is one exam, on monday.
And as soon as it's over I'm going to durham, to visit Jane.
Then back here for end-of-term, then travel for a week with Iz.
There's a ringing noise coming through our ever-open window that sounds like an alarm sounding far away across the fields. I'm starting to think it's in my head.
That is, Iz just told me she couldn't hear it anymore, and this worries me, because although she had trouble hearing it the first time, she admitted to it's being there.
Oh well. Ringing in my ears... just one more thing to drive me gradually insane.
I've spent today procrastinating horribly, and I have to write two fairly good essays tonight. This worries me somewhat. So I hope to god someone will be online who has a vague willingness to proofread for me (which I will exploit shamelessly).
I know you all love me, and my tendency to be a bit of a useless student.
How I pull off passing grades is entirely beyond me.
Okay. I'm off to go try and bullshit one of these papers before midnight, so that I can get opinions on it... (I chose to write a fairly formal 1500 word play review as opposed to choosing one of the more "essay"-like topics. You KNOW you all want to read it. The 500 words I've got so far, the more I will have...).
It's going to be a party in the computer lab tonight. There are a significant number of people here as incapable of doing things in advance as me. Also having a 6 week term with only 5 weeks of classes seems to bring the last-minute-wonder out in everyone.,
